About this file
This document contains responses to a Request for Information (RFI) related to a federal contract opportunity to renovate radiation therapy at a Department of Veterans Affairs medical center. The RFI sought clarification on project details like phase differences, equipment locations and heights, contact information for an existing services provider, fireproofing requirements, and fire alarm system programming. The responses addressed each question, identifying differences between project phases, providing locations and contact information, and clarifying that fireproofing and alarm system requirements would depend on specific conditions. This exchange of information appears to be in preparation for a solicitation to renovate radiation therapy at a Veterans Affairs medical facility.

PROJECT TITLE: Renovate Radiation Therapy
PROJECT LOCATION: Department of Veterans Affairs
VA Medical center
SUBMITTED BY: Philip S. Ozan / Firewatch Contracting City/State: Cleveland, Ohio
PHONE NO.: 216-644-7316 cell
The scope of work described in Coded Note 1 is to be completed in Phase 1, thus will be existing in Phase 2.
Air Handler X-AHU-22 is located on the 2nd floor / roof of the main building.
VA COR can provide company servicing existing Lenel system.
It is unknown if any fireproofing needs to be repaired and the rating depends upon the location.
Fire Alarm system shall be programmed to allow for power interruption and free use of door system in a fire alarm condition in 2 hour rated walls.
For the fire alarm system, we are extending the existing system by adding in a new node equipment panel into the existing fiber loop shown on drawing E-503. The new equipment will have to be programmed to be able to communicate with the existing fire alarm equipment.
VHACLEWoodaJ2 Typewritten Text (VA Note: Existing Lenel System Servicing company is Zenith Systems.)
