Additional:

Our project team has in-depth knowledge of the applications of GIS and Remote Sensing to ecological and hydrological assessments. We recognize that GIS is useful for simple thematic mapping as well as complex, but intuitive spatial data analyses. We are well versed in state-of-the-art GIS analysis techniques such as raster map algebra, spatial interpolation, spatial statistics, and 3-D topographic mapping. We use these techniques to perform sophisticated analyses such as spatial interpolation of normal pool offsets, wetland condition mapping, habitat classification, hot spot identification, spatial autocorrelation studies, and floodplain mapping. Our GIS and Remote Sensing experts also have substantial experience in image processing, image rectification, and aerial and satellite imagery photointerpretation.

GPI, a multi-discipline engineering firm, has been providing planning, design, and construction services for transportation infrastructure and building system projects throughout the United States for over 50 years.

Ranked in the Top 100 Firms by Engineering News-Record, GPI is a forward-thinking, innovative firm with a culture that is committed to excellence and fosters staff empowerment.

CADD CAPABILITIES

GPI has over 60 extremely qualified CADD designers in house using all of the latest versions of software programs. Design has evolved over the years with CADD and 3D design, yet our underlying principles have remained the same: highly trained engineers designing quality work to satisfy their client needs. With a growing focus on multi-modal accommodations and complete streets design, our engineers are incorporating additional elements into the designs such as bicycle lanes, bus rapid transit facilities and enhanced pedestrian zones. We currently use the most advanced computer aided design and drafting (CADD) for our designs and are fully capable of downloading any existing drawing file to meet your design needs. Our Team uses the latest versions of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation V8, Openroads Designer Connect Edition, GEOPAK and CAiCE in conjunction with several other software packages on the fastest available hardware.

GPI also uses the latest version of AutoCAD Civil 3D, so City electronic drawing submittals will be compliant.

The GPI Team has developed extensive in-house enhancement programs for use with AutoCAD in order to streamline our designs. Fully equipped CADD stations are operated on a full-time basis by project professionals who know and thoroughly understand not only the intricacies of the CADD operation, but also engineering design. Topographic survey and right-of-way information, as well as aerial planimetric information, can be transferred directly into our CADD system.
