About this file
This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Colorado Department of Public Safety (CDPS) for the disposal of expired Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) from its division warehouses. The RFP seeks a contractor to properly dispose of the PPE and includes a Statement of Work detailing the requirements. Interested offerors must submit proposals by March 26, 2024, at 2:00 PM Mountain Time. Optional walk-throughs at the two warehouse locations will be scheduled on an as-needed basis prior to the proposal due date. CDPS reserves the right to award a single contract for a period of up to five years, with four one-year renewal options.
The RFP requires offerors to provide pricing information separately from the technical proposal. CDPS will evaluate proposals based on criteria such as the proposed PPE disposal method, lead times, hazardous waste handling, and order size flexibility. Offerors must also provide company background, references, and information on any subcontractors. Proposals from Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) registered with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will receive a 3% preference.
