About this file
This document is a Contractor Agreement to Comply with BIT Information Technology Security Policy issued by the State of South Dakota. The agreement establishes mandatory compliance requirements for all contractors and their employees who will access non-public State of South Dakota technology infrastructure or information under contract. Contractors must acknowledge their responsibility to protect technology and information assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, deletion, and usage while adhering to state and federal confidentiality and data handling regulations. The agreement requires contractors to discuss any policy violations with their state contact and understand that violations may result in privilege revocation or breach of the underlying contract. Access to the State's technology infrastructure is granted as a revocable privilege at the discretion of BIT management and automatically terminates upon contract termination unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The agreement imposes security and compliance obligations without addressing specific pricing terms, set asides, or funding requirements. All contractors must sign the agreement on behalf of their current and future employees, with the signatory affirming authority to commit the entire company to the terms. Contractors are required to promptly report any policy violations to their State Contact and the BIT Help Desk at 605-773-4357. The document references an attached State of South Dakota Information Technology Security Policy that contractors must read and abide by as a condition of technology infrastructure access.
