Summary of RFP 2200 MLJ3013 Price Sheet

This is a pricing submittal sheet for the City of Austin's Customer Plumbing Services solicitation (RFP 2200 MLJ3013), specifically addressing the Galvanized Lines Requiring Replacement project. The City seeks qualified contractors to provide residential and commercial plumbing services in coordination with Austin Water and its customers. The solicitation requires contractors to submit hourly labor rates for multiple plumbing personnel classifications during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) and outside normal business hours (Monday-Friday 5:01 p.m.–5:59 a.m., Saturdays, Sundays, and City Holidays). Estimated annual hours include 600 hours for Master Plumbers, 800 hours for Journeyman Plumbers, 800 hours for Apprentice Plumbers, and 800 hours for Laborers during normal hours, with proportionally reduced hours for off-hours work. The solicitation does not specify response dates, bid due dates, site visits, or bidder's meetings within this price sheet document.

Pricing requirements include three categories: hourly labor rates for normal business hours (Category 1), hourly labor rates for outside normal business hours (Category 2), and markup-to-costs percentages for materials (Category 3). The City estimates an annual material spending need of $500,000, broken down as $100,000 for equipment rental and components, $250,000 for plumbing materials and components, and $150,000 for other services and components. Contractors must cap markup-to-costs at 20 percent and are responsible for all administrative costs, overhead, shipping, tools, labor, travel, and equipment without separate charges to the City. The procurement specialist is Marissa Jones. All pricing must be submitted using the provided template; alterations or exceptions to the solicitation may result in bid rejection. The City reserves the right to award single or multiple contracts based on criteria it deems most advantageous.
