About this file

This is Amendment 4 to RFP 2026-0001-0248 issued by the State of Alaska, Office of the Lieutenant Governor, Division of Administrative Services, regarding a statewide election ballots procurement. The amendment, issued on March 26, 2026, addresses an offeror question concerning ballot testing requirements and scanner availability. Specifically, the amendment clarifies that while the RFP requires testing ballots using a provided SD card, the State acknowledges that selected vendors and their clients (counties or states) typically conduct this testing. In response to the question of whether the current printer includes a ballot scanner or whether a scanner must be provided separately, the State indicated it will work with the selected vendor to provide a loaner scanner as needed.

The amendment does not contain information regarding pricing terms, set-asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or other contract-specific financial details. As an amendment addressing a procedural clarification rather than substantive RFP modifications, it serves to remove a potential barrier to bidder participation by confirming the State's flexibility in providing testing equipment through a loaner arrangement rather than requiring vendors to supply scanner technology independently.
