About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC) seeking information from vendors to accurately track out-of-cell time for incarcerated individuals in Restrictive Housing (RH) units at various locations across the state. The DOC is interested in obtaining quality and meaningful out-of-cell time for these individuals while maintaining the safety of all persons. Responses to the RFI are due by 4:00 PM on November 08, 2024, and the information gathered may be used to prepare a future competitive solicitation. The RFI outlines specific requirements for the proposed tracking system, including details on the locations where services may be needed, and requests vendors provide information on their capabilities to meet these requirements.
The RFI does not obligate the DOC to contract for the services or issue a solicitation, and the Department reserves the right to explore all options to provide these services, including those brought to its attention through this RFI process. Vendors are advised that any proprietary or confidential information must be clearly identified, and the DOC is subject to public disclosure laws. The RFI also clarifies that the Department will not be liable for any costs incurred by vendors in preparing a response.
