Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements (SABER) Frequently Asked Questions
How many projects does the Government anticipate executing per year?
Based on historical averages, the Government anticipates 28 projects valued at $3.5M per year for Altus AFB projects. This is based on our current single award SABER that only handles Altus AFB. All projects shall be competed among IDIQ awardees unless there is an exception to fair opportunity. No contractor is entitled to more than the minimum guarantee.
What is the distribution of projects across the various locations?
The Government anticipates most projects will be executed at Altus AFB. There is no firm number of projects (if any) for the other locations: Sheppard AFB, TX, Vance AFB, OK, and Ebbing Field ANGB, Arkansas.
What are offramp procedures?
The Government seeks to maintain the most qualified contractors throughout contract performance. The Government reserves the right to remove a contractor from the SABER in accordance with the Offramp Procedures contained in the resultant contract.
