About this file

This document is a vendor questions and answers file from the Office of the State Courts Administrator (OSCA) regarding ITN-2024-005-DCA for the 5th District Court of Appeal Parking Garage Corrosion Remediation & Repairs project in Daytona Beach, Florida. The document dated January 15, 2025 addresses contractor inquiries about the upcoming site inspection scheduled for January 30-31, 2025. It clarifies that vendors may conduct X-Ray Computed Tomography assessments of cement columns during the inspection, provided they obtain prior approval from the Procurement Officer and submit equipment certifications and operator qualifications.

The Q&A document indicates this is a formal procurement process requiring vendors to submit proposals following the ITN document guidelines. It reveals that while additional consulting services (such as coating/corrosion consulting) were offered by potential vendors, OSCA is only seeking the specific services outlined in the ITN at this time. Vendors wishing to bring specialized equipment for assessment during the site visit must demonstrate proper safety protocols and current equipment certifications.

2 Are contractors permitted to use X-Ray Computed Tomography to assess the extent of the damages?

Vendors may use X-Ray CT to assess the current condition of cement columns during the vendors on-site inspection on January 30 and 31, 2025.

Vendors must contact the Procurement Officer prior to bringing equipment on the property. The vendor must provide a copy of their most recent equipment inspection and certification documents and demonstrate that the operator is qualified to operate the equipment in a safe manner.
