About this file

This is a Project Information Form for an Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Foam System Demolition Project, involving a local government or airport authority. The project involves the comprehensive removal of existing Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) systems from both North and South ARFF stations, with a focus on safety and proper hazardous waste disposal following OSHA and environmental regulations. The project is scheduled to begin on 4/1/25 and conclude on 5/1/25, with bid-related dates including a notice to bidders on 2/6/25, a pre-bid date of 2/13/25, and a bid closing date of 2/27/25. The project will require contractors to safely remove all AFFF foam system components, including storage and distribution elements.

The project has a proposed budget of $50,000 for each of the two buildings, totaling $100,000. It is not eligible for Airport Improvement Program (AIP) or Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) funding, and prevailing wage requirements do not apply. The project will use NAICS codes 238910, 562910, 562112, and 562211, which generally relate to demolition, waste management, and specialized trade contractors. Technical specifications will be separate from drawings, and a line item bid tab template is provided. The procurement process will utilize PlanetBids, and prospective bidders have been notified. No additional exhibits such as geotechnical reports are anticipated for this project.
