BRS: There is no Division 10.56.17 heavy duty shelving in the project. Disregard.
27. Drawing A7.10 Windows Schedules, The window schedule on Drawing A7.10 specifies window type 3A to be the only window requiring blinds. This window type is only found in Building #65. Please confirm that this Building #65 is the only building that requires new blinds.
BRS: Building 65 is the only building that requires new blinds, and only in the Window 3A type. The shades are specified in spec Division 12 24 00 Window Shades.
28. Specifications Section 12 24 00 Window Shades includes window shades and accessories. None of the window types referenced in the window schedule or depicted in the drawings show the need for window shades or any window shade accessories. Please confirm that this section is not needed or indicate where the shades/accessories are required if the specifications are correct?
BRS: Window 3A in Building 65 has window shades attached to the inside face of wall, just above the window head.

For clarity, Building 65 and the Auto Shop have a 4” backsplash that matches the countertop while Building 49 has a tile backsplash that goes the underside of the upper cabinets. Please refer to A2.61, A3.62, A3.64, A3.65, A4.62 for materials.
31. Although all of the drop points are clearly identified as to the quantity of cables to each, my question is: are all of the cables to be just data connections or, is there at least one of the cables, except for the WAP’s, designated as a voice connection? Please verify.
AE DESIGN: Provide cables for all data connections.
32. Should one of the cables at each outlet be designated as a voice connection, would the following cable color coding be acceptable:
- Category-6, plenum, blue for data,
- Category-6, plenum, white for voice,
- Category-6, plenum, yellow for WAP.
- If decided to not be acceptable, please provide the require cable color coding.
AE DESIGN: See above. Blue for data is acceptable for all network drops other than WAPs. Yellow is acceptable for WAPs.
33. What type of telephone system is to be installed: Digital or VoIP? If digital, are the station cables to be terminated on 110 Category-6 mounting blocks? If VoIP, all cables can be mounted to Category-6 patch panels. Please verify.

AE DESIGN: Please install plug strips as described by drawings.
36. Drawing E7.2 ‘Data Equipment List, R6 indicates power strips to be provided & installed. However, Drawings: E2.41 and E3.41 do not list a power strip to be included within the data cabinet. Please verify.
AE DESIGN: No plug strip is to be installed in data cabinet per NPS.
37. Drawing E6.10 Telecom Diagram indicates to re-route the existing 25 or 50 pair analog phone cabling into building 65. There is no indication of 25 or 50 pair analog of any analog phone line connections from building 65 to Bld. 49 or the Auto shop. Please verify this.
AE DESIGN: The copper entrance is already within the server room. Scope of work is to move the copper to a new wall-mounted 110-block.
38. Is the Telephone System being provided by NPS or is it available to bid?
This contract will provide the telephone cabling and data equipment. The telephones are not included in this contract.
39. Is the Telephone System being provided by Owner? One of the RFIs we sent in did clarify the type of system (VOIP) but did not mention if it’s available to bid on. Please advise.
This contract will provide the telephone cabling and data equipment. The telephones are not included in this contract.
40. Section 01 50 00, para 2.2 B, states to provide a CMR field office, please confirm requirement.
Requirement confirmed; provide CMR field office per specification section 01 50 00.
41. The plumbing specifications do not list ProPress fittings as acceptable alternative to using soldering.
Please confirm that ProPress fittings will be acceptable to use.
[360 Engineering] ProPress fittings are acceptable.
42. Please provide a schematic for the typical compressed air work station setup, depicting the components listed in the plumbing specifications, i.e. filters, lubricators, pressure regulators, check valves, quick connect, service & shut off valves, etc.
[360 Engineering] See detail below. Ensure compressor manufacturer recommendations are followed.
43. Since the air compressors for this project are by the owner, please provide a schematic depicting appurtenances & connection details that will be provided by the Contractor, i.e. automatic drain valves, filters, dryers, main regulator, etc.
[360 Engineering] To clarify, the air compressor for building 49 shall be provided by the contractor, and is specified on sheet M6.20. The air compressor for the Auto Shop shall be provided by the owner. See detail below. Ensure manufacturer recommendations are followed.
44. M0.00 note P states to 'internally insulate all exposed round duct'. Spec section 23 07 13-9 schedules for only the Exposed Supply & Return to be internally lined. Please confirm that exposed Outside Air and Exhaust Duct (e.g. the Vehicle Exhaust and Dust Collector ducts) is single wall unlined round
[360 Engineering] Exposed supply and return shall be internally lined. Exposed outside air shall be externally wrapped.
45. M6.10 thru M6.60 Various Mechanical Schedules require “Interlock with Fire Alarm Control Panel…” As E2.21 (Building 49 – General Note G), E3.21 (Building 65 – General Note F), & E4.21 (Auto Shop – General Note F) all state the Fire Alarm System is not required, please remove the interlock requirement.
[360 Engineering] The fire alarm systems have been eliminated. The pieces of mechanical equipment calling for an interlock to the fire alarm system can have the interlock eliminated.
46. Please verify that the vehicle exhaust and dust collector round duct is to be galvanized
[360 Engineering] The vehicle exhaust duct can be galvanized. The dust collector duct can also be galvanized, but is noted on sheet M2.21 to be schedule 40 PVC.

49. Electrical drawing E1.1, Keynote Legend note #22 states EC shall carry cost in bid to excavate and reroute around hazardous boundary if conduits are routed within hazardous area. Provide credit back to park if conduits are not located with hazardous area. Due to the uncertainties, we suggest a separate bid item allowance be provided to define this scope of work.
Include costs to excavation and reroute conduits as part of the base bid.
50. We have received various requests by potential abatement subcontractors to visit the site. Please clarify if additional scheduled or unscheduled site visit can be made available to see the inside of the existing buildings.
The site is open to the public and contractors may visit without scheduling an appointment. The interiors of the buildings are not open to the public and will not be accessible.
51. Note 2 on sheets C2.1 and C2.2 references plan details for the custom manufactured storm inlets.
The only detail found in the drawings is on sheet C2.3 but it does not provide much information. Please point us to the additional detail required to accurately price the custom inlet structures.
Martin/Martin: For the 24” drain basins, we recommend 24” Nyloplast Drain Basins or an approved equal. A technical detail for this inlet can be found on www.nyloplast-us.com/technical-drawing-category/drain-basin.
52. The existing grades on the grading plans are very difficult to decipher. Please provide a cleaner plan sheet so that accurate cut/fill quantities can be calculated more efficiently.
DHM Design: A revised plan with darkened existing contours and additional contour labels is provided, see attached. The selected bidder will receive all CADD files for cut/fill calculations.
53. Please confirm that any cost associated with work stoppage due to the discovery of unexploded ordnance, will be treated as a change order.
NPS - Cost & schedule impacts associated with delays due to discovery of unexploded ordinance will be treated as differing site conditions.
