Place sod blocks in rows butting each piece firmly against the last. Stagger joints in successive rows. Finished grade of newly planted sod shall match existing height of surrounding lawn. Fill any voids with approved amended topsoil. 500 SF
Perform maintenance during the turf establishment period which shall be the longer of 15 calendar days after planting or until a minimum 95 percent stand of installed turf species covering the ground. Maintenance tasks shall include mowing, edging, eradicating weeds, watering, fertilizing and other operations as necessary to promote grass growth. Replant all areas where the grass dies or does not germinate and establish during the turf establishment period, at no additional cost to the Government. Commence normal work within five calendar days and complete within 14 calendar days after issuance of a order unless otherwise indicated on the order.
A729 --- Ground Cover Planting Species of plant shall be as specified on the order. Prepare the area to receive the new plant to include tasks as eradicate existing vegetation, perform soil analysis tests, and provide soil amendments (determined by results of soil analysis tests) to improve the existing soil. Ground cover shall be of the proper age for the grade of plants indicated, furnished in removable containers, integral containers, or formed homogeneous soil section. Plant wedelia cuttings at a maximum spacing of 12 inches.
Provide the necessary care during the plant establishment period: the longer of 90 calendar days after planting or until the plant growth is firmly established and will survive under the maintenance program currently in effect for the area concerned. 250 SF
