About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) response matrix for Solicitation N6247325Q0003 for Falconry Services at Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) and Naval Base Point Loma (NBPL) NAVWAR Old Town Campus in San Diego, California. The RFI covers clarification questions about the contract, including details about the previous contract (N6247320C0043), which was awarded on April 16, 2020, for $127,440.00 and only covered MCRD. The current solicitation expands the scope to include two separate locations: MCRD San Diego and NBPL NAVWAR Old Town Campus, with the entire NBPL NAVWAR OTC area needing to be cleared of nuisance birds.

Key details include that this is a small business set-aside acquisition, with no SDVOSB preference, and requires 30 consecutive days of initial bird hazing followed by 24 additional service calls. Both locations require a Depredation Permit, with MCRD already holding one and NBPL NAVWAR OTC in the process of obtaining it. The government has indicated that only falconry methods will be permitted, specifically excluding other technologies like lasers or dogs. Prospective contractors are directed to submit proposals in accordance with the revised Performance Work Statement and are required to sign and return the amendment.
