About this file
This document contains an exhibit template for design firms to provide project experience details and a description of a federal contract opportunity for construction of an aircraft maintenance hangar addition. The exhibit template requests information on up to five relevant past design projects, including contract details, construction costs, design completion dates, client and project descriptions, work performed by the design firm, and any sustainable or BIM elements incorporated.
The federal contract opportunity is for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest to design and construct a two-module, two-story Type 1 aircraft maintenance hangar addition to an existing hangar at a naval air station to support F-35C Joint Strike Fighter fleet operations. The hangar will include high bay, shop and maintenance, and operations, training and administrative spaces. It will be constructed with reinforced concrete masonry, structural steel, metal decking, and a combination of steep slope metal and low slope built-up roofs. The project also includes an aircraft parking apron and marshalling area, taxiway connections, apron lighting, and an alternate mission equipment storage facility.
