This can be accomplished easily for locations 1.2.1 & 1.2.2, however in order to accomplish the structural integrity in 1.2.3 - 1.2.7, there is quite a bit of stainless steel sheathing and insulation that will be required to be removed and reinstalled. Please confirm the contractors will accomplish this visual inspection without removing the stainless steel sheathing and insulation in 1.2.3 thru 1.2.7. | There is no stainless steel sheathing in the exhaust trunks
| 38 | 259-10-001 | No One Gas Turbine Uptake | 3.5 calls for base metal buildup of 160 square inches in locations 1.2.3 - 1.2.7. After reviewing ref 2.5 the "B" tube is shown installed slightly forward of FR216 and ref 2.4 shows that the fuel oil expansion tank forward bulkhead is at FR214. It would appear that the stuffing tube is installed in the F/O expansion tank rather than the cofferdam. If this is indeed the case the 5-214-1-F and the 5-212-2-W will need to be added to the gas free work item, 123-10-001. Can the government verify the "B" tube location? | The stuffing tube in question is a MIL-T-19646A penetration for gas filled thermometer capillary tube with metal sheathing. Reference 505-7059977 REV F, THERMOMETER LIST and MIL-T-19646A, TEMPERATURE GAS ACTUATED REMOTE READING. Penetration does not need to be replaced, only the thermometer and the filler packing. If the Government does not know the location of the staging that will be required, how is the Contractor to price this requirement. Staging the mast is a different task than staging a bulkhead for example. The contractor is unable to provide a price for this item as it is written and in response to the Government responses. | See Errata One | ||
| 43 | Section L,pp 121-122 | Proposal Style and Contents | Please provide clarification on the desired contents of Volume I, Cover Letter as some of the items listed seem to apply to each Volume individually or be more pertinent to printed proposals. Does the Government want a Table of Contents in Volume I or would an enclosures section on a cover letter for each Volume be sufficient and perhaps more helpful since offerors are likely submitting individual files rather than one consolidated PDF document for each digital volume? | Volume I requires a cover letter and table of contents for the entire proposal. Volumes II and III do not require cover letters but each requires a table of contents arranged according to factors and subfactors. See revised Section L in Amendment 0002. Offerors will submit each volume separately as opposed to one consolidated document. | ||

This contractor is going to price the J-4 Rev 1 as shown and received with Amendment 0002 | KTR is correct; the number is 4,539 as shown in the J-4 Rev 1 sent with A0002. This error will be corrected in forthcoming Amendment 0003.

After review of reference 2.2 there are two manhole assemblies for cofferdamn 5-204-1-V and looks like the spec has the assembly number for one and the categrory number for the other assembly. The first is item number m1620, assembly number 23 and category 01203-223. The second is item number m1630 assembly number 47 category number 01203-461. Please advise which assembly needs to be replace. Also neither one of these manhole assemblies is listed in reference 2.3.
