About this file

This is Amendment 0001 to Solicitation N400857440851 issued by CG MCAS Cherry Point Facilities, ROICC on June 15, 2026, for the replacement of a chiller and cooling tower (Unit B4225) at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina.

The amendment extends the pre-proposal inquiry (PPI) end date from June 24, 2026, to July 3, 2026, and delays the proposal due date from July 7, 2026, at 1000 local time to July 15, 2026, at 1000 local time. The amendment establishes a mandatory site visit scheduled for Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 1000 local time, with participants meeting at Building 87. Contractors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment with their proposals or risk rejection.

The amendment addresses two RFI responses clarifying that there are no chiller alternates for bidding (referencing amended NAVFAC Drawing 12939365) and confirming that the government-provided temporary 250-ton Carrier chiller is already leased and on-site with connections to the existing chilled water system. The amendment includes detailed FRCE (Facilities, Roicc, Contracting) visit request letter requirements, specifying that visit requests must be submitted on company letterhead and include visitor information (names, places of birth, citizenship status, employers, and mobile phone numbers), contract details, and a compliance statement confirming that all visitors have reviewed FRCE safety and performance requirements. The FRCE point of contact is identified as Mark Rogers at mark.a.rogers139.civ@us.navy.mil, 252-464-9570.

Amendment 0001 7440851 Replace Chiller & Cooling Tower B4225

RFI Responses:

1. Sheet 12 of 12 on the RFP shows one lump sum bid. Sheet M-601 Air Cooled Chiller Schedule shows Notes G, H, & F as alternates. Are we to bid with Alternates to the Chillers? If so can a new Proposal Sheet be provided?

Response: Reference amended NAVFAC Drawing 12939365. There are no chiller alternates for the contractor to bid on.

2. Sheet M-601 Temp Cooling Facilities states that The Government will Provide a Carrier 250 ton

Temp Chiller. Will The Chiller be shipped to the site, or will the contractor have to deliver it to the site? If the contractor does have to deliver where will it need to be picked up at? Will Temp Hoses be provided by the Govt?

Response: Temporary chiller is leased by the government, is already on-site, and hooked to the existing chilled water system.
