CONTINUATION SHEET
1. Question: Division 11 67 23, Section 2.1. D. states “Panel Weight: Weight of individual wall panels is such that panels can be handled and assembled by two individuals without use of lifting equipment”. – Typically, panels for the shoot house are made from AR500 steel, the weight of each panel can range between approximately 500 to 800 pounds, thus it would be necessary to use lifting equipment when setting the panels to ensure safety on all accounts. Would the government consider allowing lifting equipment when setting the panels?
Answer: Lifting equipment is acceptable for AR500 panel installation. If lifting equipment is required on the Shoot House slab for panel installation, the contractor/installer is responsible for ensuring the equipment does not exceed the concrete slab’s load capacity.
2. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
