About this file
This is Amendment 0001 to solicitation N4008524B2505 for an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Miscellaneous Paving Maintenance and Repair Contract at NSA Mechanicsburg/NSA Philadelphia Sites. The amendment extends the bid due date to January 17, 2024 at 2:00 PM EST.
The amendment also provides responses to several pre-proposal inquiries, including clarification that work outside regular hours must be pre-authorized by the Contracting Officer, confirmation that street sweeping work is typically performed after hours and on weekends, and explanation that Technical Specifications Section 02 61 13 for Excavation and Handling of Contaminated Material should be used for bidding ELIN A001. Other responses address concrete strength requirements (3000-4500 psi depending on location), curbing dimensions that vary by repair location, and historical context that the bulk of work orders are for paving and concrete work, with street sweeping done annually in spring and snow removal assistance provided during major storms.

Historically, how many task orders per year and how many task orders pertain to street sweeping and snow removal versus asphalt and concrete work? We are trying to determine
Historically the bulk of the work orders for the contract are for Paving and Concrete work, the total is based on the number of work order submitted by the clients we have on the installation. Some years we make numerous repairs and other years based on funding provided it may only be few. The street sweeping is supposed to be conducted each year in the spring to remove any salt, dirt, or rocks etc. left from snow moving operations. The snow moving is also different each option year, we have our public works crew that normally clear the base roads of snow, when we have a large storm come through is when we would normally request a task order for the contractor to provide assistance. The task order would be for additional trucks and loaders to help us move whether the bulk of the work will be street sweeping and snow removal or asphalt and concrete.
the snow out of the parking areas and main roads. The number would be based on the number of actual storms we have which is different is winter.
