This document contains a sources sought notice and company information form from the Department of the Navy Naval Facilities Engineering Command. The notice seeks information from small businesses capable of fabricating and installing two enclosures totaling approximately 23,100 square feet at the Dry Dock 2 Complex in Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine. The larger enclosure is a permanently installed 21,500 square foot structure with multiple work areas, bridge cranes, movable roofs, and associated HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and communication systems. The smaller enclosure is a 1,600 square foot modular relocatable structure with similar features. Interested vendors must submit a capabilities package by November 24, 2020 demonstrating experience with projects of similar size, scope, and complexity, including structural steel fabrication, mechanical systems integration, construction in limited work areas, and overhead cranes between 5-10 tons. Upon reviewing the responses, the Navy will determine whether to conduct a small business set-aside for the work anticipated to be awarded in June 2021.
