QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS #5

The following are answers to questions received from potential offerors. The answers provide clarification only and DO NOT constitute an amendment to the solicitation.

QUESTION #13:

Contractor has contacted the OEM “BBG Innovation Solutions and Engineering” for this WI proposed pricing. BBG responded to our request with a “No Bid” as they stated:

“In response to your request for quote, we wanted to confirm that you provided the correct SOW/specification. Please note that we are fairly confident that we have already completed the USNS BISMARCK and feel that you may be referring to the USNS BRUNSWICK instead. Please confirm and provide the correct specification before we are able to proceed with the quote. Thank you and I look forward to your response.”

Contractor requests confirmation from MSC that this WI, as written, has not been completed in April of 2019 and if so, would there be a revision to this WI?

ANSWER:

Work Item 0404 shall be cancelled and removed from the solicitation.

QUESTION #14:

Contractor has reached out to Sam Haas from Northrop Grumman for a quote on this item, he said he does not do this work and passed us on to Brandon Faircloth NG/Sperry.

Each one of these contacts state the other one is the OEM. Both are a “No Quote”.

We have since reached out to Intech, Mackay, Radio Holland and none of them could do this work.

Can MSC provide an alternate that is acceptable for this WI?
