QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS #3
The following are answers to questions received from potential offerors. The answers provide clarification only and DO NOT constitute an amendment to the solicitation.
1. For WI 505, MSC Drawing No. 800-8390862 Rev. A, Aft AFFF Piping Replacement states all material shall be contractor furnished. Item 505, Para. 4.0, states all material shall be government furnished. Please advise if all material for this item will be government furnished or what portion shall be contractor furnished.
ANSWER: All material will not be provided by Government. Government will only provide material listed in paragraph 4. Contractor is responsible for providing all the material listed in the referenced drawing that is not listed by paragraph 4 GFM.
2. WI 505 Paragraph 4.0: What reference is this list of materials from? If it’s Ref. 2.1.2, none of the fitting descriptions of the GFM matches the fitting descriptions in the reference. Also, while the piping descriptions match, the quantities don’t. Some are over what the drawing calls for, some are under what the drawing calls for. If the GFM is not from Ref. 2.1.2, please provide the reference the materials are from.
ANSWER: Disregard fitting numbers on paragraph 4 listing. These are internal fitting numbers given to the GFM List by the Government Supply Department. The quantities are accurate and only the quantity listed will be provided by the Government. Contractor is responsible for the difference between what is supplied as GFM in paragraph 4 and what is listed in reference 2.1.2 as CFM.
