1.1 This item describes the replacement of the sliding block transfer head rubber bumpers.

5.0 NOTES:
5.1 The contractor and all subcontractors regardless of tier shall consult the General Technical Requirements (GTR) to determine their effect on the work items in this work package, which may be effected by the requirements of this item.
5.2 The contractor and all subcontractors, regardless of tier, are advised to review the other Work Items under this contract to determine their effect on the work required under this Work Item.
6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: None additional.
7.0
STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIRED
7.1 Arrangement/Outfitting:
7.1.1 Position the sliding blocks at lower stop position using the control booth sliding block master control.
7.2 Structural: None additional
7.3 Mechanical/Fluid:
7.3.1 Remove sliding block transfer head rubber bumpers from transfer head rubber bumper retainers.
7.3.2 Drill and cut each bumper in accordance with reference 2.1
7.3.3 Remove and replace all missing or deteriorated mounting studs. Expect 30% of studs will require replacement.
7.3.4 Mechanically clean to SSPC-SP 3 and paint bumper channels and surrounding areas in accordance with reference 2.2.
7.3.5 Install new rubber bumpers using new fasteners.
7.4 Electrical:
7.4.1 Turn sliding block motor controller circuit breaker switch to OFF position and tag controller "OUT OF SERVICE".
7.4.2 Upon completion of this item switch sliding block motor controller circuit to ON position and remove "OUT OF SERVICE" tag.
7.5 Electronics: None additional.
7.6 Preparation of Drawings: None additional.
7.7 Inspection/Test:
7.7.1 Final inspection shall be conducted by MSC Representative.
7.8 Painting:
7.8.1 Scale, prime and finish paint area underneath each bumper assembly. Paint all new and disturbed areas to match surrounding surfaces.
7.9 Marking: None additional.
7.10 Manufacturers Representative: None
8.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: None additional.
