About this file
This document provides information for an industry day regarding a forthcoming solicitation for aerial refueling services. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to release solicitation N00421-16-R-0032 seeking contractor-owned and operated aircraft to provide aerial refueling for Navy and Marine Corps aircraft. The anticipated requirements include providing refueling support from 5,000 to 35,000 feet altitude for missions ranging from 3 to 5 hours. Aircraft must have redundant probe-and-drogue refueling systems and specified communications and navigation equipment installed by 60 days after award. The industry day will be held on December 1, 2016 at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point to review a draft performance work statement and allow industry to provide feedback. The follow-on, indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contract has an estimated 5-year ordering period and seeks to award in December 2017. The opportunity is set aside for small businesses and aims to increase competition for the upcoming solicitation.
