AMENDMENT 01

SUMMARY OF CHANGES

1. SECTION C - DESCRIPTIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS

The following have been modified:

STATEMENT OF WORK

[Statement of Work paragraph] 2.0 APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS

The following NSWC IHEODTD technical drawings form a part of this SOW to the extent specified herein.

2. Drawing 430-174-0013 Rev D, page 9 of the technical documents attachment has been replaced with the correct Rev E.

3. The following Questions and Answers are hereby provided:

I. Pg 18, SOW Para 2.0 Required Documents: When comparing the drawings under Method 2, it says to use Rev-D. When looking at the drawings provided, it appears that the drawing, Doc 430-174-00013, is Rev-E.

The other question is about Pressurized testing requirement. [The Vendor] cannot find a Mil-Spec, or some sort of specification that details the parameters of the test.

ANSWERS: (Revised documents uploaded to FBO.GOV)

- Pg 18, Para 2.0 Documents: Method I for Body and Cap Assembly should read, "430-174-0013 REV D"; Method II Body and Cap Assembly should read, "430-174-0013 REV E"

- In the Technical drawing attachment, Pg 9 Body and Cap Assembly is actually the REV E copy; the Government is in the process of updating that drawing to correct the drawing to read "E" instead of "D".

- For pressure testing, the p.s.i. requirements are listed in the 'Notes:' on the appropriate drawings in the technical package. REV D is 15 p.s.i. for a minimum of 5 seconds; and REV E is 30 p.s.i. for a minimum of 5 seconds.

II. I see these drawings are from +-2006. For planning/cost purposes will they be available on cad; If so what format? Or will we have to recreate the electronic versions to make them machine ready?

ANSWERS:

The drawing files are in ProE/Creo. The files could be provided during the solicitation process upon request. However, it may take some time to prepare them as they are held in CAD/PAD and may be difficult to get quickly. We are working to have copies available as of the time of this Amendment.

In all cases, the files can be provided as Pro files or converted to a standard file type, i.e. stl or step.

III. The spec calls out sealant Cage 2V507 (Mc Master Car) 7545A661 SILICONE RUBBER ADHESIVE SEALANT, RTV-103. Mc Master is saying that this was a branded GE product that is no longer available. They are suggesting:

7545A461, RTV103 2.8 oz Tube 15 24 -75° to 400° Made of FDA Listed Materials, MIL-A-46106B Group I Type I, NSF/ANSI Standard 51 for Food Contact, UL Recognized Aluminum, Brass, Bronze, Copper, Steel, Stainless Steel, Cast Iron, Titanium, Polystyrene Plastic, Polycarbonate Plastic, Polyurethane Rubber, ABS Plastic, PVC Plastic, CPVC Plastic, PETG Plastic, PVDF Plastic, Polyimide Plastic, Vinyl Plastic, EPDM Rubber, SBR Rubber, Wood, Black 7545A461 Product Detail: Silicone Sealant, Momentive/GE RTV103, 2.8 oz. Tube

Is this an acceptable replacement?

ANSWER:

Yes, that should be an acceptable replacement.

IV. a. Assumption: If a custom test adapter/plug does not cover the machine hole from inside during the test it is viewed that a 30 lb. pressure test may dislodge the adhesive.

ANSWER: The assumption is True.

b. Is it envisioned that the machine hole with the newly cured adhesive (24hrs.) is to be subject to the pressure test?

ANSWER: No - we care about the bottom staying on during casting.

c. Can the adapter plug/fitting pass beyond the machine hole inside for testing purposes thereby not subjecting the adhesive filled hole to test pressure?

ANSWER: Yes

d. Is it the intentions to have the Adapters packaged separately in the same shipment without any further assembly related to this part by the contractor?

ANSWER: Yes.
