1. SECTION A - SOLICITATION/CONTRACT FORM

The required response date/time has changed to 10-May-2018 01:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.

2. The following additional Questions and Answers are hereby provided:

1. Drawing Numbers 430-174-0006 & 430-174-0007 both call out a helical groove (similar to a thread) of 40 pitch with a depth of .005” ± .002” throughout the diameter. What would be the preferred inspection method? Optical comparator? Dedicated gage similar to a thread gage?

ANSWER: Up to the offeror to make recommendation of how they will inspect the part.

1. The Contractor shall provide inspection/test results for each hardware component which shall include dimensional data for units measured during production, but 100% dimensional verification shall be performed on a minimum of every 10th parts. 100% inspection on all parts is not required, but will the critical dimensions that need to be provided on each part be specified by the Government prior to the contract award?

Ref: Section 3.2.2.1 on page 21 & Section 4.0 on page 22

ANSWER: All dimensions called out on the drawings shall be verified as part of the inspection of every 10th part.

1. Does the pressure testing requirement include the small Ø.126 hole on the upper neck or only for the body and bottom cap?

Ref: Pressure Testing Requirement

ANSWER: The pressure testing requirement does not include the small hole on the upper neck and is only for the body and bottom cap.

1. Please confirm if the pressure testing requirement is a dry air pressure test, and not a water, or a submersion bubble test.

ANSWER: Requirement is for dry air pressure testing on 100% of the units.
