About this file
This document contains a solicitation for ship repair and maintenance services for the USS WASP (LHD 1). The Naval Sea Systems Command is seeking proposals for the execution of the FY21 USS WASP Docking Selected Restricted Availability, to include maintenance, modernization, and repair services. Interested offerors are required to register in the System for Award Management and monitor beta.SAM.gov for the full solicitation release and amendments. While several attachments will not be posted and must be requested from specified Navy personnel, the availability is generally described as requiring a highly capable contractor with substantial facilities including a pier capable of berthing the USS WASP and sufficient human resources. The availability is anticipated to begin in December 2020 and be completed no later than April 2022. Proposals are due in August 2020 and award will be made to one contractor on a coast-wide basis due to market research indicating no capable small businesses.
