About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) Log for Demolition Project B1825 & B1839, dated 3 June 2025, containing four key questions and answers related to a demolition project at Hanscom Air Force Base. The log addresses technical specifics about site demolition, including drain and water line removal, geothermal well decommissioning, and bonding requirements. Specific clarifications include: the 6-inch drain should reference updated demo plans, no utilities are to be abandoned, the geothermal well must be fully removed and decommissioned by a MassDEP-certified well driller, and the project bond will equal 1% of the total proposed project cost. The questions reveal potential ambiguities in the original statement of work that are being systematically resolved through this RFI process to ensure clear contractor understanding of project requirements.
