About this file
This document is a rigging log for the Abe Lincoln Museum's Union Theater Stage A in Chicago, Illinois. The log details an urgent issue regarding the incorrect setting of lower travel limits on all line sets in Stage A, which was originally noted during an inspection in 2019. The work to correct this issue was not completed by the Chicago Flyhouse technicians. During a subsequent inspection in December 2021, it was found that the limits had been properly set, allowing the scenery to avoid striking obstructions. The report provides details on the problem, the work performed, and includes before and after photos.

SURVEY DATE: OCT 16TH, 2019 ABE LINCOLN MUSEUM, UNION THEATER -
STAGE A
REPORT DATE: JAN 5TH, 2022
EXPLANATION OF PROBLEM
During the inspection it was noticed that all scenery in Stage A did not have its hard lower limits set correctly. The hard limits on a hoist prevent a motorized system from traveling out of its safe boundaries and causing damage to itself, the scenery, or the technicians around the line set.
WORK PERFORMED
This issue, originally noted during the 2019 inspection, was no longer present during the December 2021 inspection. The limits do not allow scenery to strike obstructions. This work was not completed by Chicago Flyhouse technicians
