LBNL Solicitation JS-2025-003 Lead Shielding Panels Vendor Q& A Question 1 May 14, 2025

Vendor Question 1:

In document 06 AL-1790-6401A ALS-U SR New Lead Panel Structural Steel Sheet List on drawing S-003LP, there is a column in the table titled “Lead Panel Installed”. We would like clarification if this column is to indicate that the panel is to ship without the lead shielding? We understand that this document also controls the construction/installation activities and that this column may not apply to our scope. I hope this question makes sense, please let me know if you need further explanation to our question.

LBNL Answer to Question 1:

The “Lead Panel Installed” column is not related to this RFP. This column instructs whether existing lead panels need to be removed before installing new lead panels.
