About this file
This local work template outlines radiological safety requirements for work aboard nuclear powered ships and nuclear support ships. The document specifies that all areas of the ship have radiation levels lower than exposure limits set by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. It requires contractor personnel to receive training on radiological control instructions prior to boarding the ship. Trainees must be briefed on areas with radiation hazards, contamination, and radioactive materials. They are prohibited from entering areas posted with the magenta and yellow radiation symbol. The contractor must submit a list of trained personnel to the Supervising Officer before commencing work aboard the vessel.
