About this file

This document package includes test pit logs and laboratory test results from a geotechnical exploration program, as well as details of a related federal contract opportunity for site preparation work. The test pit logs document subsurface conditions and material properties observed at borehole locations for the Kachess Dam project in Washington state. Laboratory test results include gradation analyses, classification, moisture content, dry unit weight, and consistency determination. The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation from the Bureau of Reclamation to perform tree clearing, access road construction, and preparation of contractor use areas to enable future dam modification work at Kachess Dam. The pre-construction site preparation work is the focus of the solicitation, which was issued under opportunity number 140R1023B0001.
