About this file

This is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Certification exhibit for the City of Milton, Florida's ITB-2026-08 CDBG Infrastructure Improvement Project. The certification establishes nondiscrimination requirements for all bidders and contractors awarded work on this federally assisted contract. The mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at the City of Milton Council Chambers, 6738 Dixon Street, Milton, FL 32570. The project is funded through Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) resources and is subject to federal compliance requirements.

The EEO certification requires that all bidders and awarded contractors comply with federal and state equal employment opportunity laws, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title VI, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008, and Florida Statutes Chapter 760. Contractors must not discriminate in any employment practices based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, or other protected characteristics. All contractors must maintain records, post required notices, flow down equal opportunity provisions to subcontractors, and permit access to records for compliance verification. Failure to comply may result in payment withholding, contract suspension or termination, ineligibility for future federally assisted contracts, and other applicable remedies. The certification is incorporated into the final contract upon award and remains binding throughout the contract term.
