About this file
This document is an E-Verify Compliance Certification exhibit for ITB 2026-08, a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Infrastructure Improvement Project issued by the City of Milton, Florida. The certification establishes employment eligibility verification requirements that all bidders must acknowledge and comply with if awarded the contract. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at the City of Milton Council Chambers, 6738 Dixon Street, Milton, FL 32570. Bidders must submit sealed bids in response to this invitation to bid for the infrastructure improvement project.
The exhibit requires that the winning bidder register with and use the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's E-Verify system to verify employment eligibility of all newly hired employees in accordance with Florida Statutes 448.095. All subcontractors performing work on the project must similarly register with E-Verify and verify employment eligibility of their newly hired employees. Additionally, the bidder must obtain affidavits from each subcontractor prior to work commencement certifying that the subcontractor does not employ or contract with unauthorized aliens as defined in federal law. Bidders acknowledge that this certification is a material representation of fact, and false certification or non-compliance with state law may result in bid rejection, contract termination, and other remedies available under applicable law.
