About this file
This is Addendum 1 to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the City of Ocala, Florida for grounds maintenance mowing services in the Northeast service area. The addendum, dated February 5, 2026, provides clarifications to the mowing schedule requirements outlined in the original solicitation (ITB# PWD/260377). The City seeks experienced contractors to provide comprehensive ground maintenance services, including all necessary labor, equipment, tools, and materials. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting was scheduled for February 5, 2026 at 10:00 AM EST at the Public Works Administration building located at 1805 NE 30th Ave, Building 300, Ocala, FL 34470. The contract requires contractors to maintain contact availability during normal working hours with valid telephone and address information provided to the City Project Manager.
The addendum specifies mowing frequency options with defined scheduling windows: one mowing per month at any time; two mowings per month scheduled for the 1st through 15th and 16th through 30th/31st; or three mowings per month divided into three ten-day intervals. Contractors must follow the mowing cycle sequentially or coordinate schedules with the City Project Manager, with the City retaining the right to modify the schedule as needed. Pricing will be submitted on a unit price basis and include all costs associated with ground maintenance services. Award will be granted to the lowest responsive bidder based on the grand total price proposal. The City will compensate contractors only for actual units provided. Contractors must possess a minimum of five years of verified grounds maintenance experience, complete 100% of work with their own workforce without subcontracting, maintain Florida Department of Transportation Temporary Traffic Control Certification throughout the contract term, and hold a valid Florida Department of Agriculture Pesticide Applicator License at bid submission.
