About this file
This is an Addendum 1 to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the City of Ocala, Florida for mast arm painting services. The addendum was released on December 17, 2025, following a mandatory pre-bid meeting held on December 16, 2025, at the intersection of SR 40 (Silver Springs Blvd) and Martin Luther King Avenue in Ocala, Florida. The City of Ocala's Public Works Department is seeking an experienced vendor to provide mast arm painting services at multiple intersections. Contractors are strongly encouraged to visit each intersection in person to assess existing conditions prior to submitting bids, as some intersections include pedestrian signals while others do not. The solicitation specifies that paint shall not be applied to traffic brackets supporting signals or signs, though paint may be applied to cables as needed. Primer must be grey in color, and contractors may propose alternate coating products or systems subject to City approval, with specifications to be uploaded in ProRFx.
The contractor selected for this project shall provide a five-year warranty covering both labor and materials. In the event of paint fading within the warranty period, the contractor is responsible for coordinating with the paint manufacturer and reapplying affected paint as necessary. Payment will be issued upon completion of all required work at each intersection and approval by the City following inspection. Alternate product proposals must be submitted with the bid for City consideration and approval.
