This is a Pre-Bid Sign-In Sheet for ITB ELE/260900 related to Substation Ground Maintenance Services solicited by the City of Ocala, Florida. The City requires qualified contractors to provide grounds maintenance services for approximately seventeen (17) electric substations and one (1) training yard throughout Ocala. Services will be provided on an as-needed basis and may include complete grounds maintenance at all designated locations or maintenance at individual properties as directed by the City. The solicitation indicates a mandatory pre-bid meeting was scheduled for Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 9:00 AM at Penuel Substation, 950 NE 58th Avenue, Ocala, FL 34471. The City may award contracts to both a Primary Contractor and a Secondary Contractor, with the Secondary Contractor serving as backup if the Primary Contractor's contract is terminated or deemed unable to adequately perform the required services.

Contractors awarded under this multi-award agreement must furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, and incidentals necessary to perform the required services. A critical requirement is that all awarded contractors must obtain a Florida Right-of-Way Pesticide License to purchase and use restricted-strength herbicides such as full-strength Roundup for fence lines and structures. Contractors must provide proof to the City that they have begun the licensing process prior to commencing work and must obtain the license no later than the specified deadline. Additional information regarding pesticide licensing is available through the University of Florida Extension or the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services at (850) 617-7997.
