The Procurement Division publicly opened twelve bids on August 27, 2025, and found all submissions complete and responsive. The contract is structured with a primary and secondary awardee recommended for each of the five items, with an initial term of twelve months and potential extensions up to four additional twelve-month periods, not exceeding forty-eight months total. Delivery is expected within 15 calendar days of receiving an official Purchase Order.

The recommended awards total $353,967 across all items, with primary awardees including Thatcher Chemical of Florida, Inc. ($76,000 for Phosphoric Acid), Univar Solutions USA, LLC ($65,880 for Aluminum Sulfate), Brenntag Mid-South, Inc. ($3,150 for Liquid Sodium Bisulfite), Momar, Inc. ($134,320 for MicroC 2000), and Hawkins, Inc. ($3,480 for Liquid Sodium Hypochlorite). Secondary awardees were selected as backup suppliers for each item. The solicitation is structured as a non-exclusive, unit-price contract allowing the city flexibility to purchase from multiple vendors and adjust quantities as needed. All recommended awardees confirmed their agreement with the technical specifications and delivery requirements. The Fiscal Division confirmed that sufficient funds are available in the budget to support the contract. The City Manager was scheduled to approve the recommendation at a Commission meeting on October 8, 2025.
