About this file
This document is Addendum No. 1 for Invitation to Bid (ITB-25-051-KY) issued by the City of La Monte Springs for Chemicals for Public Works Plant Operations. The addendum provides clarifications and responses to bidder inquiries regarding chemical supplies for water treatment facilities. The document addresses procurement details for multiple chemicals, including Aluminum Sulfate, Phosphoric Acid, Liquid Sodium Bisulfite, MicroC® 2000, and Liquid Sodium Hypochlorite. A key logistical note indicates that WTP No. 3 is not accessible by tanker trucks and will require delivery via flatbed or equivalent vehicles.
Current suppliers and pricing are disclosed for each chemical: Thatcher Chemical of Florida, Inc. supplies Aluminum Sulfate at $1.49 per gallon and Phosphoric Acid at $7.60 per gallon; Odyssey Manufacturing Company provides Liquid Sodium Bisulfite at $2.95 per gallon; and Hawkins, Inc. dba Hawkins Water Treatment Group supplies MicroC® 2000 at $6.95 per gallon and Liquid Sodium Hypochlorite at $2.90 per gallon. The addendum also includes a notable specification that alternative products like "Vita-Micro CS 70" will be considered if they meet the 70% glycerin specification. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum by signing and returning the acknowledgment section or incorporating it into their bid submission.
