About this file
This document outlines the radar specifications for the Illinois State Police (ISP) for moving, directional, and stationary radar units, as well as laser speed detectors. The required radar units must meet specific technical requirements, including a 5-year warranty, standard fault detections, frequency stability, speed accuracy, in-car video interface, and the ability to require tuning fork tests and automatic mode switching. The related state and local contract opportunity is for the procurement of these radar units and laser speed detectors for the state of Illinois.
The bid specifications provide detailed requirements for the radar units, such as the frequency range, power source, display, and mounting options. Bidders must provide all available mounting and cable length options in their proposals. The contract will also require the successful vendor to provide operators' manuals and factory certifications with each unit.
