About this file

This is a Scope of Work submittal document for an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the City of Austin for traffic safety flares to be distributed and sold for use by the Austin Police Department. The document outlines the specific requirements and deliverables that contractors must provide as part of their bid response. Contractors are required to supply written certification regarding manufacturer information, material weight, and material ingredients; documentation of test results specifically demonstrating burn time performance of the traffic flares; detailed specifications outlining the material composition of the flares; and Safety Data Sheets for the traffic flares. Additionally, the City reserves the right to request a sample of one case of flares meeting the stated specifications, which must be submitted within five business days of the request, as well as a statement from the manufacturer confirming current distributor status, also due within five business days.

The document emphasizes that failure to provide test results, detailed specifications, or Safety Data Sheets may result in disqualification of the offer, establishing these as mandatory submittal requirements rather than optional documentation. The scope of work does not detail pricing terms, quantities, contract duration, renewal options, or funding sources within this particular submittal document. No award date, response deadline, site visit requirements, or bidders conference information is specified in this file.
