About this file

This is a Subcontracting Plan submittal form for Invitation for Bid (IFB) 6200 MLJ1050 issued by the City of Austin, Texas, related to a bike lane delineators and speed management devices contract valued at $120,000 annually. The document establishes the framework for subcontracting under this contract, with the use of subcontractors being entirely optional. Any subcontractors employed by the contractor must receive prior written approval from the City, and if approved subcontractors require replacement, the contractor must submit a revised plan for City approval before implementing changes. The form provides blank tables for contractors to list up to three subcontractors with relevant details including vendor identification, contact information, contract amounts, percentages, scope of work, and experience qualifications.

The City of Austin's Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MBE/WBE) Procurement Program has determined that no MBE/WBE subcontracting goals apply to this contract due to insufficient subcontracting opportunities and inadequate availability of certified MBE/WBE firms in the relevant market. However, the City encourages contractors to utilize certified Small Business subcontractors, including MBE/WBE enterprises, whenever feasible. Contractors are directed to the City's Small Business Program website for information regarding recognized certifications and available certified firms. The form requires documentation of any Small Business certifications held by subcontractors, including certifying entity, certification type, certification number, and expiration date.
