About this file
This is a Local Business Preference submittal form for the City of Austin, Texas, related to a terminal block cabinet procurement opportunity. The City of Austin maintains an optional Local Business Preference Program designed to encourage participation from local businesses and increase contracting opportunities within the community. Participation in the program is voluntary, and completion of the form is not required to submit an offer for this solicitation. The contract involves the provision of terminal block cabinets and bases for pole-mounted cabinet retrofits to remove underground splicing at intersections, with an initial term of 24 months followed by three optional 12-month extension periods.
To qualify for local business preference consideration, offerors must demonstrate that their headquarters is located within the Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos Metropolitan Statistical Area, encompassing Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties. Headquarters is defined as either the location where owners or leadership provide direction and management or the location of the entity's Administrative Center where primary business and operational activities are managed. The City reserves the right to request additional information to verify headquarters location and may withhold preference, disqualify an offeror, or void a contract if misrepresentation is determined. The total contract value is $1,098,500 over five years, with an average annual value of $217,700. The form requires offerors to provide their physical headquarters address and certify which business functions are located at that address.
