About this file
This is a Small Business Preference Program submittal form for the City of Austin, Texas, applicable to Invitation for Bid (IFB) 5000 MAS1005. The document outlines the City's optional Small Business Preference Procurement program designed to encourage small business participation in City solicitations and expand opportunities for small businesses to conduct business with the municipality. Participation in the program and completion of the form are entirely optional for offerors responding to the solicitation. The City defines Small Businesses as persons or corporate entities holding recognized certifications that comply with the U.S. Small Business Administration's Small Business Size Standards. The City recognizes specific certifications for determining small business status, with details available on the City of Austin's website at austintexas.gov/page/small-business-program.
Offerors seeking to claim small business preference status must complete the certification section of the form, providing their recognized certification details including the certifying entity, certification name and acronym, certification number, and certification expiration date. The City reserves the right to request additional information to confirm an offeror's certification status and may contact the certifying entity directly for verification. If the City determines that any certification information provided is inaccurate, it may withhold available preference awards. Intentional misrepresentation may result in disqualification from the resulting contract for non-responsibility, and if discovered after contract award, the City reserves the right to void the contract entirely.
