Questions from Contractors

• Are there any known abatement issues?

o There is currently an investigation taking place by the Architect. We believe there is limited abatement, specifically in the floor tiles. Once the investigation is complete, the GSA will make the report available

• Does GSA recommend contractors do demo at night?

o The 10th floor tenant, Environmental Protection Agency, would prefer any loud work to take place at night. There is a potential for a double shift with loud work taking place at night.

o Elevator dock requests need at least 48 hours’ notice o Dumpsters available 8 pm 6 am; at 6 am they are emptied for the day but can be emptied during the night o Loading dock can accommodate more than one dumpster but it must all be coordinated

• Is there a dedicated freight elevator?

o No, there will not be a dedicated freight elevator because there is only one freight elevator and this will need to be shared. If there is another project in the building which needs the freight elevator coordination among the project teams will be essential.

• Define design phase services required?

o For information regarding the scope of work for the design phase services, please reference the document titled The Agreement, specifically , page 21 of CMc Scope of Work (pdf page 57)

• During the walk-through, can we take pictures of the space?

Anything stated or implied in the meeting does not change the terms and conditions of the RFP as issued on December 2, 2015. The RFP remains as is unless formally changed via amendment issued by the Contracting Officer o Yes

• Any other documents, other than environmental report, which will be put up for pricing?

o No, however, we will be simplifying the documents associated with the options. An Amendment to the Solicitation will follow shortly and make the necessary changes.

• Does GSA want contractors to lower soffits?

o The soffits will remain in place

• Siemens is doing work on a different project in the building regarding HVAC, should HVAC match other floor controllers?

o The project team is looking into the coordination with Siemens. The intent is to have the systems be able to communicate, but not be the exact same system.

• Does GSA want contractors to establish GMP now or later?

o The GMP will be provided by the contractors when bids are due. The total evaluated price will include the GMP.

• The far NW corner of floor is layered. Does GSA need a GMP for floor demo?

o Will clarify; look for amendment

• Will GSA want Requests for Information in future?

o Yes, please submit any RFIs to the Contract Specialist with a CC to the Contracting Officer. Please note that the cut-off date for all RFIs is Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 1:00 PM CST.
