-Provide drywall ceilings for the Men's and Women's restrooms.

34. General Note #1 on A202 & A203. Where is “the location of the 8 mil shatter resistant glass at all windows”? Do they mean for the new interior office and door sidelite windows or existing perimeter windows?

40. Still in need for specs for the glazing. The amendment notes indicate they will be issued “in the next drawings issuance”. Does that mean more drawings will be issued and when will that be coming?

-Additional glazing information will be provided in the next submission, but that submission will most likely take place after an award has already been made. At this point, no additional drawings will be issued. The CMc must provide pricing based on the currently issued 65% Construction Drawings.

41. Keynotes #11 & #13 refer to fire rating codes or smoke walls for separation of areas. How are we to determine what is required because the drawings were designed?

-A/E to provide fire and smoke wall requirements for separation of areas in the next submission.

42. Keynotes #14, #15, #16 & #17 indicate weights of equipment to be installed. Keynote #15 states that we are to notify the Tenant for re-design if load exceeds design capacity. Has a building structural engineer been consulted or will be consulted to determine if any of these areas will need structural steel support on the floor below? How are we to determine what is needed?

-The AE will verify the floor loading information in the 100% CD's. The high density storage room 9058 will most likely require some type of additional floor bracing.

43. Keynote #40 calls for wall protection panels (WP-1). What material is this to be?

-42"H Kal-Lite FRP 0.090 textured, Color: TBD.

44. Could you please tell us what would be the correct North direction label on the drawings?

There seems to be a discrepancy between drawings A204 & A205 and also along with the mechanical drawings.

-The correct North direction label points North to the top of the sheet.

45. Due to the holidays and in climate weather, several subcontractors could not attend the 12/30/15. Furthermore, once the Environmental Report is issued, the abatement/demolition contractors will want to come back out to inspect the areas that need to be abated. Can more walkthroughs be scheduled prior to the 1/14/15 bid date? If so when?

-No, at this time no additional walk-through is scheduled. Please contact the property manager listed in the Request for Proposal to request a walk-through. Please note, there is no guarantee that the property manager will accommodate a third walk-through.

46. Compared to the previously issued 100% Design Development drawings, there were many changes / clarifications made on the 65% Construction drawings issued with Addendum #2. The changes made were not highlighted resulting in timely side by side comparisons or completely new takeoffs. Does GSA anticipate further document revisions? Can all further revisions be highlighted / bubbled so that any changes can be fully incorporated into our estimates?

-All contractors should provide pricing/proposal on January 14, 2016, per the 65% Construction Drawings. As updated drawings are issued by the Architect, the selected CMc will work alongside the GSA, the Architect and all other team members and will be responsible for updating their estimate. Highlighting or bubbling is not a requirement for the Architect.

47. Specification Section 262933 relates to Fire Pump Controllers. This equipment is not indicated in the drawings. We request clarification related to this matter.

-There is no fire pump.

48. Specification Section 265116 1.2-B-1 & 2 indicates to reference section 260923 “Lighting Control Devices. Sction 260943.16 “Addressable-Fixture Lighting Controls” and section

Please clarify this matter.

-Refer to answer from earlier question

49. Clarify if LED or Fluorescent lighting fixtures are desired to be installed on this project.

-LED, per the light fixture schedule.

50. We were searching the project solicitation (specifically the bottom cover page language & p.22 -IV.H.), and were wondering what the Woman owed/DBE requirements are for this project?

-That requirement is for large businesses. Every large business needs to provide a subcontracting plan, however, since this is a total small business set aside, that requirement is not applicable to this procurement.

51. At Public Reception 9003, what is indicated on the Southwest wall? Is that to be millwork of some kind?

-It is an 18" wide writing counter with a solid surface countertop, edge, 6"H backsplash and 6"H wall base. Between the countertop and base is a furred-out p-lam panel with an angled panel beneath the writing counter.

52. SOW p 39.3.6.21, 2nd bullet – Emergency Generator Load Test; Please clarify requirements of the CMc and load testing the generator.

-Not required.

53. Are there any areas on either the 8th or 10th floor that may be sensitive to any noise, dust, vibration, etc. that needs to be taken into consideration?

-"10th floor - Instruments in rooms 1005, 1005A, 1007 and 1008-1012, and 1041 will be affected by vibrations when in operation. High Impact and ""significant"" vibration or noise must be avoided during business hours."

54. Please clarify if a designated area, in the loading dock area, will be provided to stage a dumpster for the duration of the project or if it will need to be relocated each day.

-Yes, a designated area in the loading dock area will be provided for staging a dumpster.

In addition , dumpsters can be switched out at night from the loading dock.

55. Knowing that the freight elevator will not be exclusive to the work on the 9th floor and being that it is slow moving, can a passenger elevator be designated for use during construction in order to facilitate the movement of workers and material?

-The project team will confirm with property management, however, at this time there is no passenger elevator which will be dedicated to this project.

56. Will demolition and associated removal be permitted during the night -Yes, demolition and associated removal will be permitted during the night.

57. Amendment No. 2 contains conflicting statements regarding the fire alarm system. Please confirm that the fire alarm system is under a separate contract and the cost is not to be part of our proposal.

-The installation of a new fire alarm system is not part of this project. That Fire Alarm System will be under a separate contract.

58. Verify that the Fire Alarm system is to be provided by others under separate contract as indicated on sheets E206 & E207.

-Please see above answer to question #57.

59. Solicitation II.E.3, Do all subcontractors and the Prime Contractor’s accounting systems have to be certified and utilize GAAP or just the Prime Contractor?

-Just the prime contractor.

60. Is there an allowance to be used for the decorative frosted film for the glass panels at Meeting #9019?

-The drawings indicate that manufacturer and style of film TBD. You may utilize an allowance to determine your pricing.

61. Specification Section 262923 relates to Variable Frequency Drive Motor Controllers. This equipment is typically provided with the HVAC equipment. Confirm that all VFD’s. motor controllers, motor starters, and disconnects are to be provided with the HVAC equipment.

-Yes, they are to be provided with the HVAC Eq.

62. Submittal Requirements Please clarify the number of original and hard copies to be submitted for BOTH the Technical Proposal and the Price Proposal. There are conflicting statements regarding the submittal requirements: Page 6 of The Solicitation states: Submit one

(1) original and five (5) copies of both the technical and price proposals at the same time. Please mark the original as “Original.” Page 6 of The Solicitation then states directly afterward: The proposal package shall be comprised of two sealed envelopes, one to contain one original and seven copies of the technical proposal to be marked “TECHNICAL PROPOSAL” and the other to contain one original and five copies of the price proposal to be marked “PRICE PROPOSAL”.

All envelopes shall clearly identify the firms’ name and address. Page 8 of the CMc Statement of Work states: Your proposal is due by 01-14-2016 at 1 pm CST to Oana Sandru. One electronic copy of the proposal shall be sent via email to: Oana.sandru@gsa.gov. Should your proposal exceed the file size limitations for email attachments, a CD or flash drive may be sent to the issuing office address. PLEASE INDICATE THE PROPER SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS

FOR THIS PROPOSAL.

-Please see question #4. The requirement is for the submittal of one original and five copies of both the technical and the price proposal. The technical and price proposal must be in separate envelopes, each labeled accordingly. No electronic copy of the proposal shall be provided, it would exceed the size standards and would not go through the Government email system.

The detection limit for the method is <1% by visual estimation and 0.25% by 400 point counts or 0.1% by 1,000 point counts.

Due to the limitations of the EPA 600 Method, nonfriable organically bound materials (NOBs) such as vinyl floor tiles can be difficult to analyze via polarizing light microscopy (PLM). EPA recommends that all NOBs analyzed by PLM, and found not to contain asbestos, be further analyzed by Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). Please note that PLM analysis of dust and soil samples for asbestos is not covered under NVLAP accreditation.

CEI Labs, Inc. can perform positive stop analysis if requested by customer. However, it is the responsibility of the customer to determine if the samples grouped together are in fact the same type of material and belong to the same homogeneous area.

This report may not be used by the client to claim product endorsement by NVLAP or any other agency of the U. S. Government.
