Why we are using this authority – We are demonstrating that the nature of the acquisition requires use of the cited authority. In the case of the IT infrastructure, the specified camera is National Defense Authorization Act (NDDA) and integrates with the Park's existing IT infrastructure. The trash receptacle is the same product utilized throughout Grand Teton National Park and meets the cultural landscape requirement at this historic site.

A demonstration that the proposed contractor’s unique qualifications or the nature of the acquisition requires use of the authority cited.

The Axis product has been chosen for this contract based on the following criteria:

a) The camera meets the image quality and IT compatibility requirements of the park.

b) The camera can operate within the extreme temperatures of Grand Teton National Park.

c) The Park staff can operate and maintain this camera, which is consistent with other hardware in the Park.

The Parking Logix product has been chosen for this contract based on the following criteria:

a) The detector meets IT compatibility requirements of the park.

b) The detector can operate within the extreme temperatures of Grand Teton National Park.

c) The Park staff can operate and maintain this detector, which is consistent with other hardware in the Park.

The Cisco Systems products have been chosen for this contract based on the following criteria:

a) For security reasons, all Information Technology (IT) components within the Grand Teton National Park are required to comply the National Defense Authorization Act (NDDA). The specified camera is NDDA-compliant and is able to integrate with the Park's existing IT infrastructure.

b) These components are compatible with the Park's IT infrastructure. The Cisco industrial ethernet switch and AC power supply are already used in conjunction with other IT infrastructure throughout the Park.

The BearSaver product has been chosen for this contract based on the following criteria:
