About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) related to the Foundation Geospatial-Intelligence (FG) system baseline and future integrated capabilities. The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) is seeking information from interested contractors on their ability to provide sustainment, support, software, and integration services.
The RFI includes questions and responses covering topics such as font size, page limits, requirements related to machine learning and artificial intelligence, cloud capabilities, and the anticipated solicitation timeline. NGA anticipates releasing a draft Request for Proposal (RFP) for industry comment in the 3rd quarter of 2025. Responses to this RFI should consider the use of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud and focus on capabilities such as EC2, S3, RDS, SageMaker, HPC, IAM, API Gateway, Comprehend, Lambda, Aurora, EFS, EBS, and ElastiCache.

| Can the table for the Comment Matrix be considered an appendix and not count toward the 25 pages? | Yes. The Comment Matrix may be considered as an appendix and not counted to the 25 page count. |
| Can context, mission, or potential PWS requirements for Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Artificial Intelligence experience be provided to help identify more specific areas of experience or expertise for which to provide back in response? | For the purposes of this RFI, consider the following: |
-- Entity extraction from an existing imagery product -- Text parsing / Large Language Model (LLM) to determine sense of a text product.
-- Change detection between states of a data scene
| Does the government expect there to be requirements related to multi-cloud on FS3i? | Not at this time, but it is possible within the lifetime of the FS3i contract. For the purposes of this RFI, consider use of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud only. |
| Does NGA have a roadmap of AWS capabilities they believe are required for FS3i to ensure responses include the most relevant experience to the contract performance requirements? | For the purposes of this RFI, primarily consider: EC2, S3, RDS, SageMaker, HPC, IAM, API Gateway, Comprehend, Lambda, Aurora, EFS, EBS, ElastiCache, VPC. Secondarily, consider: AppSync, Bedrock, Cloudfront, DynamoDB, ECS. |
| Can NGA provide a timeframe on when a draft solicitation for this opportunity will be issued/released? | We anticipate a draft RFP for industry comment to be released 3rdQtr 2025. |
