About this file
This document appears to be a PowerPoint presentation depicting the architecture for the World-Wide Navigational Warning Service (WWNWS) message downlink, processing, and storage system. It outlines the components of the system, including the Access database, watch rooms, satellite transceivers, and the failover watch offices. The presentation also mentions the use of the Inmarsat and Iridium email systems, the NGA email, and the C2OIX message processing. It indicates that raw messages are saved to a shared drive, and only "bluelined" or "redlined" messages that become products are stored in the database. The document does not appear to be directly related to a federal contract opportunity, but rather an overview of an existing system architecture.

All of our VB code lies within the Access Database. Which sits on our shared drive in the datacenter. Currently if you have 2 users working on the same record (which is rare) it takes the most recent users edits.
After an analyst processes the message it is stored within the database ONLY if it is a "Bluelined" source that turns into a product or a "redlined" source that is logged. The blueline source also has the associated outgoing product in the same record. The "useless" or discarded messages such as weather do not get logged.
In my 3 years working in the watch officer I have never experienced a shared drive outage.
