About this file
The provided document is an informational trifold about the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Office of Geomatics (SFN). It outlines the mission, vision, and divisions of the SFN, which provides accurate positioning, navigation, timing, and targeting content and services in support of U.S. national security. The six divisions within SFN are responsible for various geospatial and geodetic capabilities, including maintaining the World Geodetic System 84 (WGS 84) reference frame, generating terrain elevation data, and providing geodetic and geophysical survey expertise.
The related federal contract opportunity is a Request for Information (RFI) seeking information on how an interested contractor could provide sustainment, support, software, and integration services for the current Foundation Geospatial-Intelligence (FG) system baseline and future integrated capabilities. The RFI is being issued by the NGA in support of the Mapping, Charting and Geodesy (MC&G) Integrated Program Office (IPO).

Vision To be global leaders in geodetic, geophysical, and photogrammetric sciences to protect American interests on or about the Earth, creating a safer and more secure world.
SFN is composed of six Divisions headquartered at the NGA Campus West, St. Louis, MO. In addition, SFN personnel are assigned to NGA Campus East, Springfield, VA, Patrick Space Force Base (SFB), FL, Vandenberg SFB, CA, Edwards AFB, CA, Holloman AFB, NM, Schriever AFB, CO, and White Sands Missile Range, NM.
Geosciences Division (SFNA) delivers GEOINT accuracy through the fusion of data collection, processing, evaluation, analysis, and geoscientific modeling.
Provides maintenance and currency of the World Magnetic Model and Earth Gravitational Model
Ensures GEOINT is interoperable with WGS 84
Develops Earth science models for humanitarian assistance/ disaster relief, environmental issues, DoD combat support, key intelligence missions, and Coordinate Systems
Elevation Division (SFNE) provides foundational expertise for the production, validation, and management of terrain elevation content in support of academia, disaster relief, humanitarian aid, international cooperation, scientific research, and national security objectives.
Maintain, produce, and review traditional elevation data such as DTED, HRTE, TanDEM-X and more to provide consistent defined content
Support short term ad-hoc customer elevation data needs through auto-generated and non-standard content
Lean forward to innovative methods and sources to create and disseminate elevation content
Global Navigation Satellite Systems Division (SFNG) applies cutting-edge principles of satellite geodesy to build the WGS 84 Reference Frame and provide GNSS data and analysis to DoD, IC, and international partners to support Assured Positioning, Navigation, Timing, and Targeting.
Maintains and enhances accuracy of WGS 84 reference frame through computations and analysis of GPS orbit and clock solutions
Provides DoD and IC with authoritative GPS data for high-accuracy GEOINT applications
Manages network of 17 global GPS monitor stations
Ensures interoperability between WGS 84 and international reference frames based on GPS and foreign Global Navigation Satellite System observations
