About this file
Street Landscape Maps for Parks and Landscaping Maintenance Services
This file consists of a street landscape map attachment for the City of Milpitas Parks and Landscaping Maintenance Services Request for Proposal. The map depicts the geographic scope of service areas across Santa Clara County, California, including 25 city parks spanning 7,175,414 square feet and 11 city facility landscapes totaling 643,564 square feet. The services encompass routine and preventative maintenance tasks including turf care, irrigation system maintenance, weed abatement, waste and debris removal, and upkeep of park elements such as playgrounds, pathways, and shrubs. The RFP issued on December 23, 2025, includes optional add-alternates for street median landscaping and weed abatement. Questions must be submitted by January 14, 2026, with proposals due February 4, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. The contract is anticipated to commence October 1, 2026, with an initial one-year term and options to extend for six additional one-year periods.
Qualified contractors must hold a current California C-27 Landscaping Contractor's License and maintain comprehensive insurance coverage including Commercial General Liability of at least $2,000,000 per occurrence, Automobile Liability of $1,000,000, Professional Liability of $1,000,000, Workers' Compensation at statutory limits, and Pollution Legal Liability of $1,000,000 per occurrence. Pricing evaluation utilizes a mathematical formula where the lowest price receives maximum points with pro rata scoring for higher proposals. On-call work will be billed at the contractor's submitted rate sheet with material and rental costs marked up a maximum of 10%. The RFP does not specify explicit set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises. The City reserves the right to award the contract in whole or in part, award multiple contracts, or cancel the RFP entirely.
